BenQ W1070 1080P 3D Home Theater Projector

For the BenQ W1070 1080P 3D Home Theater Projector price, you really can't go wrong and seriously you are not compromising on any video quality. I have had this projector for a couple of months, the picture quality is really great, crisp, and the colors come to live in 3D. I have another 1080p projector, and this BenQ has blown it out of the park, as far as picture quality.
review ratings for BenQ W1070 1080P 3D Home Theater Projector
My Theater room has a low ceiling height of 7'8" H * 13.8" W X 23' Length and my top of the screen is about 5" - 7" from the ceiling. HD-25 requires atleast a 8" for the center of the lens to be higher than. I used the mount (refer below) approximately 5" drop from the ceiling. NO keystone Or Lens Shift or Zoom was used in my case.
  • Built-in speakers are Plug-and-Play ready, only the power cord and video source connection are needed to prepare the viewing experience.
  • 2 HDMI inputs for video and gaming sources
  • The SmartEco Mode, which cleverly adjusts the lamp power to maximize power saving by delivering the best contrast and brightness performance using only as much light as needed.
  • The automatic switch to Eco Blank Mode after the projector is turned on for over three minutes without a display source, eliminating unnecessary energy waste and prolonging the life of the projector lamp.
  • The W1070 is ISF Certified for customization to any room, offering calibration for optimized color performance in both Day and Night modes that can adapt to any room?s layout, size and ambient light levels.
Colors are AMAZING on this Benq W1070 1080P Full HD 3D Home theatre projector. There is a reason it is ISF certified. The colors are fantastic out of the box but are even better when calibrated. I have mine setup on Cinema mode with Brilliant Color set to ON in EcoSmart mode and the Gamma set to 2.2. That is the best combination of brightness/color/ and contrast for my setup.

I used NATGEO (National Geographic HD Channel from Dish and Blu Ray DVD) to compare between this projector and an 50" Pioneer Elite TV. I "hated" non HD channels from Dish on this projector, but it looked nice on the TV, I believe its the size.

My theater room is completely dark and this projector illuminates the whole room. The speaker that comes with it is ok, just not very loud, which I don't use anyways, I use the surround sound system that I already had. I also bought the shutter glasses SainSonic Rainbow Series Black 144hz 3D for 20 bucks...on amazon. Movie Nite out doors is awesome with family and friends.

If your going to spend $900 on a HD projector for home theater the BenQ W1070 1080P 3D Home Theater Projector is the one.
